Every magazine needs cover blurbs

As with any package, the first task of the cover is identity. The publication must be recognized as your magazine. Elements that provide identity are those things that remain the same issue after issue--the logo, the size, the format, and so on. What makes a cover different from a package in a supermarket is that it must combine continuity with change; it must signal that this is a new issue of your magazine.
