Expanding its portfolio of electronic services, the French post office La Poste is getting into the delivery of e-mail and SMS-based direct marketing services to businesses of all sizes. La Poste's foray into that sector is hardly unexpected since its chairman Martin Vial had already indicated the post's interest in being a major player in delivery of mail in all formats.
