Joseph W. Prueher, former U.S. Ambassador to the People's Republic of China and a retired Navy Admiral, has been named to Emerson's (NYSE:EMR) board of directors, it was announced today by Charles F. Knight, chairman of the board.
Admiral Prueher served as U.S. Ambassador to the People's Republic of China from November 1999 to May 2001. As Chief of the United States mission in China, he served two presidents and was responsible for supervising the activities of all United States Executive Branch activities in China.
