When it comes to promoting diversity and ethics, Darden Restaurants is putting its money where its mouth is. The Orlando, Fla.-based chain has awarded a grant to the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business to establish a comprehensive diversity and business ethics endowment of $1.2 million.
At least 1,000 students annually will directly or indirectly benefit from the funding. The endowment covers the hiring of a Darden Restaurants Professor of Diversity Management to teach courses open to all students; up to $31,000 ...
