A Madison youth was in critical condition at University Hospital Wednesday after rolling a car he allegedly stole Monday.
Lawrence J. Thomas, 17, allegedly stole a 1996 Buick Regal at about 1:30 p.m. Monday from the emergency room parking lot at University Hospital. Then, at 9:50 p.m., with three juvenile passengers, police said he lost control of the car when he made a last-second turn on the Greenway Boulevard exit in Middleton. The car flipped as it sailed down an embankment, coming to a stop in the parking lot of a business below.
