Carl and Phyllis are becoming increasing annoyed with their three-year-old son, Andrew. From the time he started to talk about a year-and-a-half ago, they had been enormously impressed by his steadily advancing speech capacities; but now they have noticed he seems to be suffering a lapse in language development.
