Microsoft has finally gotten the message - even its best friends and supporters are getting tired of this security-failure-of-the-week crap.
Call it the Code Red blues, but Microsoft's finally put together a major security initiative that's supposed to tighten up Windows and Internet Information Server (IIS).
According to Microsoft, it's doing the right thing because "it has a special obligation to help ensure the security of the Internet and our customers' data." The quote is attributed to Windows Division senior VP Brian Valentine.
Of course that recent Gartner report recommending that folks switch from IIS to a different server, at least ...
