The story of Van Gogh and Gauguin is one of the most dramatic in the history of modern art. The Vincent van Gogh Museum, in close cooperation with the Art Institute of Chicago, is presenting the Van Gogh & Gauguin -- The Studio of the South -- exhibition from February 9 to June 2, 2002 in the exhibition wing of the museum. The exhibition will focus in particular on the paintings of sunflowers by both Van Gogh and Gauguin. The aim is to bring as many versions as possible of Van Gogh's sunflowers to the exhibition.
