SEOUL, Oct 8 Asia Pulse - The Bank of Korea said Monday the financial market is stable despite the U.S. retaliatory strikes against Afghanistan.

The central bank said the yield of the treasury bonds recorded 4.39 per cent as of 1:30 p.m. Monday, the same as last week.

Share prices were holding their own, although a bit weak, down 1.04 per cent as of 1:30 p.m. Stock prices were off slightly across Asia: down 1.35 per cent in Australia, 2.04 per cent in Singapore and 1.78 per cent in Taiwan. The Tokyo stock exchange was closed due to a Japanese holiday.
