Fresh Choice, Inc. (Nasdaq:SALD) today reported net income of $1,043,000 or $0.15 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2001. This is approximately equal to net income of $1,033,000 or $0.15 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2000.

Year-to-date (the first 36 weeks of 2001), the Company reported net income of $2,032,000 or $0.29 per diluted share. This is an increase of 10.7% compared to net income of $1,835,000, or $0.26 per diluted share, for the first 36 weeks of 2000.
