From the outset, this book by Ron Gilster is a bit unsure of just exactly what it wants to achieve.
In my opinion, it suffers immediately from what could be referred to as mislabelling. It claims to be a beginner's guide yet takes up a massive 651 pages and covers quite a few difficult topics. I do not know of many beginners that would be happy picking this off the shelf and attempting to increase their knowledge of PC hardware.
