Oct. 10--BOCA RATON, Fla.--A third person here tested positive yesterday for the often-lethal disease anthrax, prompting federal investigators to launch a national criminal investigation into the mysterious appearance of the infection.
The latest case involved a 35-year-old female employee of American Media Inc. who worked in the same building where two previous cases, one fatal, had surfaced. The woman did not suffer full-blown anthrax and is healthy, said federal officials. She is taking antibiotics, they said.
