IBA, Zambales, Oct 10 Asia Pulse - Nestle Philippines will shortly start a big coffee plantation in Zambales that could provide jobs and livelihood to local farmers.
Vice Gov. Ramon G. Lacbain II said here officials of Nestle Philippines have presented their proposal on the coffee plantation during the local provincial board's session here.
David Santos, assistant vice president for Agricultural Services of Nestle Philippines, attended the recent provincial board session and said the firm would soon start developing a 20-hectare uphill plantation of "robusta" coffee in barangay Sta. Rita, Masinloc town as a pilot project.
