FOXBORO, Mass. _ When Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked to describe LaDainian Tomlinson, the San Diego Chargers' rookie running back, he paid Tomlinson one of the highest compliments possible.
"Tomlinson is a back, I think, who is very similar to Curtis Martin," Belichick said.
Since Martin is one of the NFL's premier running backs, as well as one of the league's most highly respected players off the field, it was a statement that said a lot in a few words.
