Founded in 1998, the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) recently celebrated their third birthday. In the past three years, the SCAE has had continued success in gathering (and maintaining) support for their association by participating in matters relating to specialty coffee. Taking a cue from the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), the Europeans -- after centuries of coffee history -- created their own organization to promote specialty coffee.
