Simplifying medical therapy can be an important component of disease management for patients with chronic medical conditions, especially those who may be without symptoms, such as many patients with osteoporosis.

A new study that examined dosing preference and convenience found that nearly nine out of 10 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis preferred a 70 mg once-weekly dosing regimen of Fosamax(R) (alendronate sodium) over a 10 mg once-daily regimen of Fosamax.
