A Tokyo University-based research group, has taken the treatment of a widespread type of diabetes, also known as multifactor disease, a further important stage, by devising a technique to suppress one of the diabetes accelerating genes, the PPAR gamma gene.
It has been well recorded, and for some time, that the most common type of diabetes, often surfaces in middle or older life, and is triggered by lack of exercise, fatty diets, and overeating, leading to varying degrees of obesity.
