AP-Cargill Malting Co. soon will be making beer, but don't expect to find it in the local pub.
"What we're doing is trying to learn more about the relationship between the malting process and the brewing process," said Cargill spokesman Greg Lauser. "We're hoping operating this minibrewery will provide greater insights into the influence of malt in the brewing process- like how do barley variety, malt processing conditions and finished malt quality affect the quality of the finished beer."
