THE British journalist held captive by the Taliban for ten days was seized before she even set foot in Afghanistan, it was claimed last night.
A businessman who saw 43-year-old Yvonne Ridley's arrest said she was stopped at a border checkpoint when a camera fell from beneath her disguise, the all-enveloping burka worn by Muslim women.
His detailed account differs from the one given by the journalist, who has said she was detained only after spending two days working undercover inside Afghanistan.
