FIRST HALF RESULTS OF OPERATIONS

NEW YORK, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: WILL), publishers, announced today that revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 1990 ended Oct. 31, 1989 increased to $66.0 million, representing a 5 percent improvement over the prior year's like quarter revenues of $63.1 million. Year-to-date revenues were $139.4 million, a 7 percent gain over the prior year's first half revenues of $130.7 million.
