MIAMI _ The Heat's point-guard situation remained muddled Wednesday as Anthony Carter reaggravated an abdominal injury and missed another practice. Heat coach Pat Riley downplayed the possibility of using Eddie House and Mike James in the rotation and said other guards would move between positions.
Carter's injury, which has caused him to miss 10 days of training camp, means he will miss the next three exhibition games beginning tonight at Memphis. The Heat will play at Detroit on Friday, at Minnesota on Monday and will close the exhibition season Tuesday against San Antonio at Boca Raton.
