After consulting with major league scouts, Rocky Mountain News baseball writer Jack Etkin has compiled this scouting report on the National League West champion Arizona Diamondbacks:
OFFENSE
Left-handed-hitting Tony Womack leads off and will work the count. He can be disruptive on the bases, but his .307 on-base percentage this season is proof he doesn't get on enough. Craig Counsell handles the bat well and is a good situational hitter. He handles pitches down and inside very well.
