A SCHOOLGIRL who collapsed and died during a school tennis lesson was suffering from a rare heart condition, an inquest heard yesterday.
Shaheen Khorasani, 12, a pupil at Holly Lodge Comprehensive School in West Derby, died on May 1.
Liverpool Coroner's Court yesterday heard she died of cardio-arrhythmia, also known as QT syndrome, which meant her heart beat too quickly.
Teacher Emma O'Hallorhan told the inquest she was taking a class of 30 girls when friends of Shaheen's screamed that she had collapsed.
The supply teacher ran over and put Shaheen in the recovery position and sent a classmate to get the school's first-aider.
