According to a recent report published in Annals of Rheumatic Diseases (BMJ Publishing, Ann Rheum Dis 2001; 60:934-939) Swedish scientists have found that women who have dyed their hair regularly over a long period could be exposed to suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The study set out to evaluate the influence of a number of factors including lifestyle on rheumatoid arthritis, and tests showed that there is an increased risk of the condition with some consumers who are exposed to hair dye.
