By Tuesday afternoon Fashion Week was officially canceled, a flag was hoisted in front of the color-splashed tent in Bryant Park and even the most ardent fashionista had changed the subject. It was as if Fashion Week hadn't happened.
But it had happened, at least in part. Between Friday and Monday almost a dozen designers -- among them Kenneth Cole, William Reid and Marc Jacobs -- sent their men's wear down the runway. There were also presentations by the likes of John Varvatos and Sandy Dalal. All in all, it was enough to evoke a fairly vivid picture of spring 2002.
