Maybe the new owners of the Red Sox won't have to boot Dan Duquette out of the organization after all. Maybe he'll just go running out of the Yawkey Way offices on his own, half-naked, disheveled, screaming incoherently and reciting Mo Vaughn's recent statistics to all the bums and bag ladies in Kenmore Square.
Oh, how Dan must long for the old days, a simpler time in his Red Sox tenure, when he only got knocked for doing dumb things. How bad are things going for Duke? Now he gets second-guessed for actually doing something right. "HEY, DAN. ONCE YOU GET MO BACK, MAYBE YOU CAN TRADE VARITEK AND LOWE FOR SLOCUM."
