WOOL PRICES ARE LOWER AT JAPAN TEXTILE SHOW

NEW YORK -- Declining wool yarn prices and a stronger dollar against a weaker yen have combined to lower Japanese woolen fabric prices this year, according to exhibitors at the '90 Japan Wool Textile Exhibition at Parsons School of Designs here. The decrease is making Japanese fabrics more attractive to U.S. buyers.

The three-day Japanese fabric showcase, which highlights fall-winter 1990 woolens and blends, ends today.
