Oct. 22--SAVONLINNA, Finland--Getting agricultural products to market is always a challenge, but that challenge is acute for Finland.
"You must be brave, talented and eager" to get products to the large European markets 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) away, said one Sisko Makela, a dairy farmer from central Finland.
The answer for dairy producers and cooperatives is to differentiate milk.
"Milk is very, very rich in raw material," explained Annika Mayra-Makinen.
