Possis Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq:POSS), announced today the initiation of a landmark clinical trial called the AIMI Study (AngioJet(R)Rheolytic(TM)Thrombectomy In Patients Undergoing Primary Angioplasty for Acute Myocardial Infarction). COR Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq:CORR) and Schering-Plough Corporation (NYSE:SGP), co-developers of the glycoprotein IIb-IIIa inhibitor INTEGRILIN(R)(eptifibitide) Injection, will supply study drug to investigational sites enrolling patients in the Possis-sponsored AIMI Study.
