Oct. 23--The Alaska Symphony of Seafood, a popular midwinter contest for new food products based on Alaska-caught fish, is planning to expand Outside.
This winter, the Symphony's new products contest will be held in "a large metropolitan area" in the Lower 48, said Marc Jones, executive director of the private, nonprofit Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation, which has sponsored the event for the past eight years. The city won't be chosen for another couple of weeks, he said.
Anchorage, however, will retain a big part of the Symphony. The public "gala tasting ...
