SINOPEC has always taken the introduction of foreign advanced technologies and management experiences and the expansion of foreign cooperation as its development strategy and paid great attention to the promotion of equity and contractual joint ventures with foreign companies.
Since the founding of the first joint venture enterprise in 1986, SINOPEC has established 165 joint venture enterprises with foreign companies with a total investment of 5.8 billion U. S. dollars.
