The American Institute of CPAs' proposed XYZ global business services credential -- the center of a firestorm of controversy among the accounting industry at-large -- has failed to win a consensus among the industry's most influential people.
The number of Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People who believe the credential will have a positive effect outnumber those predicting a negative effect by almost a two-to-one margin. However, a sizeable portion either believe the credential's effect will essentially be neutral, or they declined to render their opinion on the topic.
