Entertainment lender leaves City National for Mercantile Bank
The top entertainment lending official at City National Bank has jumped ship to join a small Century City bank.
Irene Romero, who had been executive vice president-entertainment banking at $4.2 billion (assets) City National Bank, joined Mercantile National Bank last week as executive vice president. Romero, who was at City National Bank seven years, also was a member of the bank's executive committee and its senior loan committee.
The effect of Romero's defection from the Beverly Hills bank, the premier entertainment lender in Los Angeles, has been minimal, according to Bram Goldsmith, ...
