The town of Spafford Veterans Memorial Committee, which is raising money for a memorial to veterans of the Spafford area, took a large step toward its de- velopment goal when the Borodino Volunteer Fire Department contributed $1,000.
This generous donation was a share of the proceeds from their pancake breakfast at the firehouse in Borodino on July 22.
Veterans committee members and Veterans of Foreign Wars members from the Otisco Valley Memorial Post 5494, located in Marietta, were on hand at the breakfast and distributed literature on plans for the memorial.
