If American retail and apparel fabric buyers don't come in droves to the European fabric mountain, then the mountain -- at least some of it -- must come to the buyers. And that's exactly what's going to happen next week.
We have just learned that more than 55 Italian mills, mostly from the Prato area, will descend on New York, Oct. 16-18, to show their newest fabrics at the Hotel Inter-Continental (111 East 48th Street). These are the textiles that they introduced at Premiere Vision last week. The group has been pulled together by Pratotrade, the Prato-based mill organization.
