Oct. 25--Electronics manufacturer Pemstar Inc. grew during the technology downturn of the past few months, booking big gains in sales and revenues from its worldwide operations.
The Rochester-based company on Tuesday reported $3 million, or 8 cents a common share, in earnings for the second quarter of its fiscal year. That was almost triple the $1.1 million quarterly profit shown a year earlier.
Pemstar's performance also met the consensus estimate of industry analysts, according to financial tracking firm Thomson Financial/First Call.
