DAMAGE from flooding is greater than from any other natural disaster, yet millions pay a premium to live by the water's edge.
After this week's scenes of people wading through water in their living rooms, addresses such as Riverside, River Way and River View may not be as desirable as they once were.
The return of the floods is an unpleasant reminder of last October, when heavy storms heralded the start of the wettest winter on record.
Since then, the Environment Agency has spent [pound]250,000 just on repairs to existing flood defences, and it warns that we could have an annual flood season.
