June imports to US drop eight percent

Imports into the United States continued their downward trend as the number of gallons dipped 8.3 percent in June to 27,737,950 from 30,250,596 gallons in June, 1988. Through the first half of 1989, imports were down more than seven-percent, seeing shipments of 134.8 million gallons as compared to 1988's 145.4 million gallons.
