BRUSSELS, BELGIUM -- Last month's Decosit highlighted several trends, including intense colors, larger than life scale for patterns and silk as the new favorite fabric.
As has been the case at most of the home furnishings and apparel shows this year, the energy level was subdued, a typical scenario when the economy -- specific or global -- sours.
The color story was the most interesting as the European suppliers toned down the bold citrus flavors of their color palettes from a year or two ago to more moderate but still energetic shades. Purple is still the color of the season, ranging from pale tones to deep aubergine with black or brown tendencies.
