Mediation is a process in which a neutral individual aids parties in settling and negotiating a dispute. The Juvenile Mediation Program, which serves Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler and Wetzel counties in West Virginia, works with school-age children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 and their families and/or guardians. The adolescents involved have been truant or have committed other status offenses or nonviolent crimes.
