FIVE England cricketers will today defy demands by Lord's that they commit themselves to the winter tour of India.
Cricket chief Tim Lamb had expected to be telephoned this morning with the final decisions of Ashley Giles, Andy Caddick, Craig White, Robert Croft and Marcus Trescothick.
Only Trescothick, widely touted as England's next captain, was last night said to be considering confirming his availability.
