Florence Fellenz is not just a volunteer at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)-Red Wing, a state facility for juvenile males; she also is a much-loved foster grandmother who has made quite an impact on both the facility's residents and staff.
Since 1980, Fellenz has given her time, her love and her cookies to the residents at Red Wing. "I make an after-school snack for the students," she says, adding, "They love cookies." Despite having six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren of her own, Fellenz graciously devotes her time and energy to the residents at Red Wing.
