SAN JOSE_Owen Nolan gathered the puck just in front of the red line and stared at an empty net on the other side of the ice. A Columbus Blue Jackets player was in front of Nolan, but not directly in his line of fire.

Par for the course, these days.
"Obviously," Nolan said, "I'd like to be doing a little more scoring."
Just as obviously, the Sharks wouldn't mind seeing him do a little more scoring. Not outrageously more, though they certainly wouldn't turn that down. But just a touch.
