Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM), the nation's largest source of financing for home mortgages, said today that it contributed $1 million to the Disaster Relief Fund announced last week by Mayor Anthony Williams to provide immediate financial support to District of Columbia residents who have been directly and adversely affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11.

The disaster relief fund will provide assistance to children, families, and individuals with disabilities who were directly affected by the terrorist attacks through the death of a head of household or primary wage earner.
