PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Japan-based TORAY INDUSTRIES is currently gearing-up to expand its Chinese-based textile production facility known as TORAY SAKAI WEAVING & DYEING (NANTONG) CO., LTD. (TSD). The subsidiary in question was created in partnership with SAKAI OVEX CO. LTD. a major textile dyeing company in Japan. However, TORAY holds a 66.9% interest in the company.
TORAY is now expected to invest about $79,000,000 in order to build a new factory. The planned facility is intended to enable the manufacture of polyester filament and nylon filament fabrics. In so doing, the Japanese firm is aggressively expanding its filament fabric operations in China ...
