SCOTLAND Yard last night launched an investigation after a storm of protest about comments made by an Islamic extremist on the Jimmy Young show.
Police received a series of complaints about Abdul Haq, a spokesman for the Al-Muhajiroun group, which boasts of sending British Moslems to fight for the Taliban.
During the Radio Two interview, Haq declared: 'We will continue to struggle and strive until we see the flag of Islam flying over 10 Downing Street.' The show provoked more than 200 calls to the BBC, many protesting at the 'hypocrisy' of the Moslem activist.
