The liquid ammonia storage project jointly funded by Togliattiazot Corporation of Russia, the biggest nitrogenous fertilizer group in the world, and Zhanjiang Port, one of the 10 biggest ports in China, started construction in Guangdong Zhanjiang on Sept. 21.
China has a huge demand of concentrated compound fertilizers and compound phosphate fertilizers. The construction of the Russian liquid ammonia storage project in Zhanjiang can help ease the ammonia supply shortage in South China and Southwest China and promote the economic development in the region and surrounding areas. It will play an active role in the development of the western region in China.
