Nov. 2--The CEO said rising revenues indicate customer confidence.
Tulsa-based Williams Communications Group Inc. reported record revenues Thursday for the third quarter, but still lost more money than a year ago.
The company's net loss increased to $272.7 million, or 55 cents per share, compared with $150.5 million, or 32 cents per share, in the third quarter of 2000.
Revenues increased 42 percent to $297.8 million. Much of the increase came from the company's network services unit, which saw a 52 percent rise in revenues to $271.1 million.
