2001 NOV 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Up to 40% of children in the United States live in homes where at least one adult smokes. Being exposed to this secondhand smoke increases a child's risk for developing asthma or worsening existing asthma.
In an effort to educate parents about the health risks of secondhand smoke, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) to promote the Smoke Free Home Pledge Campaign.
