Lockheed Martin [LMT] yesterday said it was prepared to discuss a role for Boeing [BA] on its winning Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) team, but executives pointed out that the Boeing's role would have to add value to the program.
"Notwithstanding the decisive conclusion by the government regarding the Lockheed Martin Team offering, we will be speaking with our competitor, Boeing, about capabilities from their proposal that they could possibly bring to the program to enhance the value of the JSF team," Dain Hancock, the president of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, said in a statement.
